Why I won’t go back to the 9-5
People always ask me if I’m going to “come back to the social work field”.
If you don’t already know, I quit my 9-5 job a year ago to go full time into entrepreneurship, and I turned my side hustle into a proper business. (This is it if you’re interested)
True, I’m not doing “traditional social work” anymore, but I’m still very much using my skills to support people in the field.
I think the idea of not being in direct practice holds a lot of social workers and therapists back from starting a business.
I came across a stat that social workers were waaaay under the national average for entrepreneurship.
But there’s so much you can do with your career that goes beyond the typical 9-5. The possibilities are ENDLESS.
There are so many people on the internet who have 1/10th of your skillset, education, and 0 credentials who are KILLING it as service-based businesses.
Imagine what you could do if you combined your skills and education with entrepreneurship.
